ARGB Fan
There is no universal standard for the definition of LED fan specifications, which can be a bit confusing. At times, even we may not have complete clarity on certain aspects. Therefore, we will attempt to provide an explanation based on our understanding.
ARGB (Addressable RGB):
It typically involves a 5V 3-pin connector that can be connected to your motherboard. Ensure that your motherboard features a 5V 3-pin ARGB socket.
Connecting ARGB Fan to SYNC ARGB Motherboard:
You have a few options:
- Direct Connect:
- Connect your ARGB fan directly to the SYNC ARGB motherboard. However, this method might lack sufficient 5V 3-pin sockets on your motherboard for other ARGB devices.
- Fan Hub:
- Utilize an ARGB SYNC fan hub to which you can connect all your ARGB devices. The hub acts as a communication bridge between the motherboard and all your ARGB components. Common issues include:
- a. Each brand having its own connector for fans and fan hubs.
- b. Difficulty in finding replacements if one ARGB device is faulty, often requiring you to stick with the same brand at potentially higher costs.
- c. Low compatibility, limiting the use of other brands' products even if they offer better design, performance, or pricing.
- Daisy Chain:
- The master fan comes with 1x SCC (Sync Combo Connector) 5V 3-pin male & female connector and 1x SATA.
- The slave fan comes with 1x SCC.
- Daisy chain the ARGB fans.
